When putting together the Convey-Move service we took on board comments, requests and feedback from real customers about what they wanted when it came to buying and selling property.
Traditional estate agents are out of touch and simply charge too much, although the traditional high street agent is local and will probably do a good job it's difficult these days to justify paying several
thousands of pound for the service.
Vendors liked certain parts of the online internet estate agent such as lower fees, wider exposure and efficient use of technology to deliver a service that fits in with their 21st century lifestyle. They agreed
that these days using the internet to find a buyer was essential, but the downside was having to pay up front weather their property sold or not.
Vendors wanted their agent to check out the proposed buyers to confirm they were genuine and ready, willing and able to complete the purchase and then given the choice their preference was to use a local solicitor
who would explain in a face to face meeting the conveyancing process and guide them through to completion.
Communication was essential at all stages with both estate agent and solicitor working together to provide an efficient pro-active service.
Vendors also told us that the lowest fee was not the main priority, it's more about value for money, provide a great all round "joined up" service, use the best of online marketing combined with local conveyancing
knowledge and expertise at a reasonable cost and you would have a winning formula.
